The Story Behind Wren Story
For those who have wondered why I write under the name Wren Story instead of my own name, I wanted to share a little piece of my heart.
The name “Wren” feels soft and strong to me all at once. Wrens are tiny birds, but they still sing boldly, even after storms. Somewhere along the way, that became deeply personal to me. Life has not always been gentle. There have been seasons marked by pain, exhaustion, uncertainty, and quiet battles that many people never saw. Yet through all of it, there has still been a song inside me asking to be written.
And “Story”… because that is what this life is. Every scar, every prayer whispered at 2 a.m., every hard-earned moment of hope, every ounce of grace God has carried me through. Writing became more than a hobby for me. It became a lifeline. A place to pour out grief, faith, healing, beauty, and truth when my heart was too heavy to carry it alone.
Writing as Wren Story gives me the courage to be vulnerable in ways I sometimes struggle to be face-to-face. It reminds me that even small voices matter. Even wounded hearts can create beautiful things. Even fragile people can still sing.
So when you see the name Wren Story, know that behind it is simply me. A woman still learning, still healing, and still holding onto grace.. A dreamer. A believer. A mother and grandmother. A writer gathering wildflowers from broken places and turning them into words.
Thank you for supporting me, encouraging me, and reading the pieces of my heart along the way. 🤍
